Job Overview

Guest Services, Inc. is now hiring a Logistics/Sales Coordinator to assist our Lake Mead division with coordinating daily logistics on raft trips for various locations in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

In accordance with Guest Services, Inc.’s (Guest Services) duty to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, we maintain a vaccination policy to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our customers and visitors; and the community at large from infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics/Sales Coordinator will be located at the check-in desk for Hoover Dam Rafting and will greet guests, book raft trips, plan daily rafting trips, organize raft pilot and bus driver staffing daily. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate daily logistics of raft trips
  • Answer phone and take reservations
  • Act as sales and information agent while at front desk
  • Assist Tour Operations Manager
  • Process daily receipts
  • Process monthly billing
  • Process daily operational reporting
  • Assist Tour Operations Manager with monthly schedule forecast
  • Light Bookkeeping
  • All other duties as assigned

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or previous experience as an administrative assistant or related customer service position. 
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, excel, Teams, WordPress
  • Great interpersonal skills required, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for short and long periods of time; ability to sit for short and long periods of time.
  • Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
  • Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication.
  • Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. seldom.
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. 
  • Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.

  • Typical office equipment (computers, laptop, printer with scanning capabilities, copiers, among others).
