Montana Conservation Corps is hiring a Regional Director for our Northern Rockies (Kalispell) Office! The Regional Director (RD) position is responsible for the overall operations, culture and management of an MCC regional office. Primary duties include leading, tone setting, supervising and coordinating the regional staff and assurance of high quality program implementation, project development & coordination, community outreach and partnership cultivation. Regional Directors are a primary liaison between the state headquarters office and the region. The RD works in collaboration with various MCC State Office staff and the regional program staff to coordinate high quality programming at a regional level They must develop and maintain a good working relationship with project partners and community partners, regional staff and MCC staff statewide.
Montana Conservation Corps is a nonprofit organization that engages youth and young adults through hands-on conservation service and education. Our participants work on physically demanding and essential natural resource and conservation projects on some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Northern Rockies and Plains. Here at MCC, we focus on the growth of our participants, positively impacting our climate and environment, and transferable job skills. MCC offers crew-based programming that uses natural resource and community service projects to foster personal and crew development. Our main goal is not to build trails but to help members develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to be active citizens in their community. Through a term of service with MCC, participants will learn practical job skills, build confidence, strengthen communication and leadership competencies, and develop the ability to work well with people from all walks of life.

This position may require periodic overnight travel and non-traditional work hours, including occasional weekend and evening hours. The Regional Director may be required to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and to hike up to 12 miles per day in rugged terrain. The ability to independently drive an organizational vehicle is also required.
