Eagle's Nest Camp
Eagle’s Nest Camp is seeking a Head Cook and Cooks for the summer 2019 season!
The kitchen staff consists of a kitchen manager, a head cook, a baker, and 5 – 6 cooks. Working as a team, the kitchen staff are responsible for preparing three well-balanced, family-style meals, as well as a wholesome evening snack, each day. Cooks may be asked to perform all elements of kitchen work from prep to clean up. Cooks must work well with people different from themselves and be committed to maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment meeting all health code standard. They must enjoy living and working in the outdoors and with children. Kitchen staff attend all-staff orientation and kitchen training.
At Eagle’s Nest, we believe that nutritious foods are a cornerstone to a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Campers dine on fresh meats and dairy products, and natural and organically grown produce such as garden-fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, unrefined sugar, honey and olive oil. We also cater for vegetarian and vegan diets.
Required Qualifications: Minimum age of 18 years with one full year out of high school. CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience and familiarity with kitchen and food service
Benefits: $250 – $275/week with one full day off each week. On campus housing, meals in our whole foods dining hall, and access to laundry facilities provided.
Dates: Position is from May 30th to August 12th, 2019. In addition, some positions require attendance at a training clinic. Please see our website, www.enf.org, for clinic dates.
