Expedition Logistic Supervisor

Avid4 Adventure, voted on Outside Magazine’s Top 50 Best Places to Work list for its 5th year in a row, is hiring Logistic Supervisors for our summer Expedition Programs in Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington. We empower school-aged children to choose active outdoor lifestyles through biking, climbing, and paddling programs. Logistic Supervisors are the cornerstone of our team by providing logistical support to our programs that allow campers to have life-changing experiences. CORE Responsibilities

Yummy Food

• Work with the Food manager to execute weekly food packouts for all Expedition trips in the region
• Oversee inventory, local food purchasing, and food de-issue, while minimizing food waste
• Provide excellent customer service to our families with dietary needs

Stellar Gear

• Send trips out with clean, functioning, well-maintained gear.
• Lead the weekly de-issue process at the end of Expedition trips
• Perform repairs on gear to ensure campers have stellar and safe trips- including tents, stoves, bikes, etc.

Efficient Programs

• Anticipate and purchase supplies for upcoming trips
• Support trips to be 100% prepared, including vehicle and gear needs or finding outsourced repairs
• Perform admin work (updating spreadsheets, ordering food online, gather data from registration system) and make real-time changes to enhance the program

Job Requirements

• Minimum of Basic/Community First Aid & CPR prior to the start of camp, WFA is preferred
• Must be at least 19 years of age by the start of camp.
• Have reliable transportation to move food and gear between locations
• Must share our passion for inspiring kids to get outside and away from screens!
• Preferred: Experience with cooking in the backcountry and repairing camping gear.

Important Details

• Job dates: Training starts in mid-May. Camp programs run through mid-August. For specific dates and details on each location & program, please click here.
• Work week: About 40 hours/week; In order to support trips leaving on Sunday and returning on Friday’s, Logistic Supervisors are asked to work Wednesday – Sunday.
