Job Overview

You have experience with strategic oversight of program build-outs and a talent for developing community and business partnerships. This position will focus on building community by leveraging staff, partnerships, and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have talent management experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the savvy to initiate and execute growth opportunities with a significant degree of autonomy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With support from regional and national staff, significantly expand our sober active community in the Bay Area, with an emphasis on San Francisco and East Bay
  • Engage in frequent stakeholder communications, initiating and maintaining partnerships with recovery-focused and other relevant local organizations
  • Supervise local staff
  • Oversee general daily administrative needs and tasks of the Bay Area chapter and monitor program standards
  • Build a strong base of volunteers who will lead the majority of Phoenix events
  • Lead presentations for outreach and partnership development
  • Facilitate events (fitness, boxing, socials, etc.) as needed in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment
  • Assist with the online presence of the chapter
  • Engage in face-to-face relationship building 50% and work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of relevant work or volunteer experience (partnership, volunteer, or program management, leadership, etc.)
  • Program management and supervisory experience
  • Excellent community relation skills and willingness to initiate introductions with potential partners
  • Ability to facilitate events and presentations
  • Proficiency with tech platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Asana
  • Comfort with managing up and communicating ideas and recommendations clearly and convincingly

 

PREFERENCES

  • Familiarity with budgets

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Fundraising or sales background
  • Bachelor’s degree
