Green Chimneys is known around the globe as leader in nature-based and therapeutic education. Our Summer Camp program embraces the belief that children learn and grow through interactions with animals and experiences in nature. Expand your network. The majority of Summer Camp staff are college students, ages 18-25, studying education, psychology, recreational therapy, physical education, and more. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age by June 2021 and have a desire to work with children outdoors. Prior experience working with children, teens or adults in similar setting preferred but not required. Environmental background, ability to accept guidance and supervision, and a willingness to work with and learn from people from different cultures and backgrounds are all essential skills for this position. Training begins June 20. One amazing camp, two locations. The main role of the Waterfront Head will be to supervise all aspects of safety and Waterfront operation at Clearpool Summer Camp and be the liaison between the Camp Director and waterfront staff. In addition the Waterfront Head will assist counselors with special activities or games, instruct counselors in emergency procedures, fire drills etc., supervise early or late care as assigned, evaluate section staff, and assist in the training of all program staff.
Must be available Mid-May end of August 2021. A resume is required for the application process. Potential for housing if needed.
This is a temporary summer position and is not benefit eligible.
Free room and board if needed. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.
