We are well-known and respected within the outdoor community, having invested a lot of time throughout the years not only into our commercial endeavors but into decades of river and environmental activism. New Mexico is a great destination for outdoor recreation, especially on rivers. Right in our backyard we boast many different class II-IV sections of river and canyon wilderness on the Rio Grande, while just down the road on Rio Chama we have wonderful western float trips on a beautiful multi-day river. For experienced guides, you should know we are a family owned business who has a long history of people choosing to work with us for over 20 years. The management are all boaters and guides who know the river, the industry and the details and requirements of what it means to work long term as a river guide. We have lots of work and a professional and easy working environment, plus high quality equipment and vehicles. We have keep a nice amount of new staff to keep things interesting and enough senior staff to keep things smooth! For people new to the industry, we have a top notch training program that will get you up to speed to start working shortly after arrival and will grant you the tools to take your outdoor guiding towards whatever future you can dream of.

Guides will be expected to be friendly and professional individuals with a good work ethic and the ability to show up at work on time at 7am. Potential guides must also have the ability to handle a physical outdoor job and provide top notch customer service.

Experienced guides looking to guide our Class IV section or trip lead our multi-days will need to have current swiftwater training and at minimum a 40 hour WFA certification.
Beginner guides will be required to have a basic first aid and CPR training and will be required to take our guide training course:
April Weekend Course: 16-17, 23-24, 29 – May 1
April Course: 18-24
May Course: May 14-20
