Job Overview

Primary Job Description

The Reservationist is responsible for being knowledgeable about Glacier Raft Company trips, cabins and area information. Primary responsibilities include helping check in guest for fishing and overnight trips, as well as cabins and wedding guest, assist with answering phone calls, taking reservations via phone or in person, collecting payments for reservations, and answering emails in a timely manner.  

Reports to:  Reservations Manager, Brandon Gonski

Primary Responsibilities

  • Learn all of Glacier Raft Company’s products and services
  • Check off opening/closing list as you get task finished 
  • Answer Phones
  • Listen to voicemails
  • Respond to all emails for the company
  • Answer Tawk Chat messages in a timely manner
  • Book reservations (over the phone or in person), answer questions, reschedule/cancel trips
  • Check in daily fishing trips, overnights, cabins, weddings, and self-guides
  • Helping guest with local area information 
  • Print off cabin/room/hostel check in’s, pair with maps, make keycodes
  • Constant communication with LG’s, DT, Housekeeping, and Kitchen 
  • Help in Outdoor Center when needed
  • Call all missing digital waiver guest for the following day
  • Enter all paper waiver emails in excel spreadsheet for e-newsletter 
  • Update cabin boards (Occupied, Ready to clean, or Clean)
  • Print off daily fishing, shuttle, self-guide, overnight trips for following day
  • Take payments/overdue payments for reservations
  • Pay fishing/overnight guides and give credits
  • Enter Daily Use # for fishing trips and river days for overnight trips
  • Communicate with SMO and GH on package trips
  • Book all Booking and Expedia bookings into Adventureres that come through Email, make sure to close/open cabins & rooms so we don’t get over bookings
  • Respond to all Booking and Expedia reviews
  • Update Multiday board and Spreadsheet
  • Set up and coordinate large group trips and special events

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  

Education & Experience:  High school diploma; Customer service experience

Physical Ability:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, and lift

Licenses: Valid driver’s license is required.
