The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations for the current 25-yard, six lane, multipurpose indoor pool for the remainder of 2025, assisting with transitioning of aquatics operations to the new Recreation & Aquatics center in 2026, and overseeing future operations for the new 25-yard lap pool and 2,500 square foot, multi-use recreation pool.
In addition to the duties listed in the full Recreation Supervisor job description, the Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for developing, preparing, and overseeing all aquatics-related programs and staff. This includes teaching swim lessons, enforcing safety rules, and providing rescue assistance when necessary, as well as administering First Aid and CPR if required. The role also involves supervising and maintaining aquatic facilities to ensure they meet safety standards, monitoring and adjusting pool water chemistry, and taking water quality samples. The supervisor will inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring the proper handling and storage of chemicals, and ensure regular cleaning of the pool area, lobby, changing rooms, and deck. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation, leisure studies, physical education, public administration, business administration, or related field.
