Mountain Bike/Kayak Guide near Olympic National Park

We are a small growing company, less than a 12 person staff for both in store and in field operations.  We find the best matches to be people who enjoy a life/work balance with a set schedule in a "9-5" workday.  Full time staff work 4 days per week, allowing 3 days of time for other pursuits such as exploring Olympic National Park, Vancouver Island, BC or heading to Seattle for a show.  Successful staff members are independently capable with a diverse skill set and operate with a professional mindset focused on teamwork and a willingness to learn. Job Overview

Full time position leading professional and safe educational experiences via sea kayak, mountain bike and stand up paddleboard, in and near Olympic National Park. Sharing knowledge of the Olympic Peninsula’s natural environment including marine and forest ecology, natural history and cultural significance. Dates of position are mid May through September 2022. Paid training is included.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have an interest in sharing positive outdoor experiences with people of all ages and backgrounds. Attention to risk management and professionalism at all times are essential skills along with the desire to learn and share knowledge about the Olympic Peninsula's natural environment. Applicants must have minimum 1-2 years experience guiding and/or instructing in an outdoor environment. A clean driving record, current WFR or CPR/First Aid and clean background check is required.

Basic mountain bike and kayak rescues, towing and paddlesport related skills are a bonus.
