Beach/Activity Coordinator

Job Overview

• Ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests using the beach resort facilities
• Ensure that the pool and beach area is clean and tidy at all times (straighten chairs, tend to umbrellas, pick up trash)
• Stock beach towels throughout day
• Maintain beach gear including chairs, kayaks, Hobie cat, snorkel gear, paddleboards, windsurfers, games
• Assist landscaping with beach upkeep
• Check beach for non-guests and collect payment for beach chairs
• Create and lead resort activities
• Engage with guests while leading activities
• Promote coral reef safety and sustainability
• Perform all opening and closing duties
• Make informative and professional recommendations to guests when requested
• Instruct guests on proper use of watersports equipment
• Provide watersports instruction
• Prep beach and pool for incoming storms
• Encourage guests to participate in activities
• Perform first aid/rescues when necessary
• Participate in beach longevity projects
• Assess guest competence and use good judgement when allowing them to take watersports equipment out

Minimum Requirements

CPR/First Aid Certified

Strong Swimmer

Water sports experience

Preferred hospitality and environmental background
