Job Overview


Environmental Educators will work with the Program Director to implement effective and interactive environmental education programs for youth at our facility. Hunt Hill anticipates hiring up to six environmental educators for the summer of 2020. Environmental Educators can expect a fun and diverse work atmosphere that also provides invaluable job experience in the field of environmental education. The term of employment is Sunday, June 14 to Sunday, August 16, 2020.

  1. Develop and implement fun and hands-on environmental education programs, primarily for youth ages 5-12 years old in Hunt Hill’s Youth Day Camp program.
  2. Supervise youth campers during Hunt Hill activities and ensure their safety.
  3. Assist in logistics for Public Programs.
  4. Serve as a cooperating camp staff team member to help fill in, as needed, with various operations throughout the camp.


* Possess a strong interest in nature, the outdoors, and working with youth.
* Enthusiastic, dependable, and trustworthy.
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work long, flexible hours when needed, including weekends and evenings.
* Experience teaching or working with youth.
* Possess American Red Cross lifeguard certification, or be willing to become certified (training is provided).
