Job Overview

The Camp Caretaker’s main objective is the upkeep and maintenance of Professor Valley Field Camp’s facilities and grounds. This role is responsible for ensuring that all areas of our camp remain clean, safe, and operational throughout the program season. The Caretaker collaborates closely with the Operation Director as well as external service providers (such as plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians) to ensure the safety and functionality of major systems at PVFC.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools (power saws, brush cutters, pruners, etc.)
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions such as heat, wind, or rain.
  • Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Strong risk-management skills and ability to follow organizational safety protocols
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Basic First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass a background check
