Junior Ranger Crew Lead

Work outside, every day, in gorgeous Boulder, Colorado. Mentor youth, steward the land, and support environmental education.

Job Overview

A Junior Ranger Crew Lead will teach, mentor, and supervise a team of 10 youth, ages 14-17 on conservation projects in Boulder, Colorado. A great crew lead will build a functional team, lead with emotional intelligence, complete trail maintenance and land restoration projects, and support youth development.

Crew Leads work 40 hours per week, for 3 months (May – August) with the chance to reapply yearly.

Minimum Requirements

Our Crew Leads must have:

• Great verbal communication skills
• Lots of experience working effectively on a team
• A love for mentoring or teaching young people
• Flexibility, humility, and adaptability
• Bonus points if you have experience in environmental education, trail work, or teaching high school age students

Other requirements:

• Must be 18+
• Drivers' license
• Ability to work outside on physical tasks every day
