About Lasting Adventures

Lasting Adventures is a 501(c)(3) public benefit non-profit with a mission to foster environmental stewardship, teach responsible recreation, and provide opportunity for personal growth through the facilitation of impactful wilderness experiences. Lasting Adventures seeks to provide youth, families, and disadvantaged communities with positive experiences in America’s National Parks and natural spaces.

For over the past two and a half decades, Lasting Adventures has been passing on the passion, providing the foundation and framework that brings together outstanding Outdoor Educators to share their love for wilderness and inspiring a lifelong connection to the outdoors. These Outdoor Educators & Guides share some basic values that shape our unique brand and culture that extends from our guide house to every foot of wilderness trail we cover. Those values are:

Since 1997 we have facilitated multi-day wilderness adventures for over 3,500 youth; of which nearly 25% have benefited from our scholarship program. Additionally through our Guide Service we have benefited another 8000 adults/families through Day Hikes and Backpacking trips since 2010. Lasting Adventures has now evolved to being the #1 Outdoor Activity within Yosemite National Park (as rated by TripAdvisor) and one of the “Best Backpacking Summer Camps in the West” (Outside Magazine). Lasting Adventures is also permitted and operates smaller programs in Joshua Tree, Olympic, Lassen Volcanic, and Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks.

Spend your summer working and playing in Yosemite and other West Coast parks! Our tight-knit staff includes some of the most passionate outdoor educators and guides in the industry. Our staff is a collection of fun-loving, hard-working professionals. A passion for sharing the outdoors with others is what brings people to work at this top-rated Yosemite and Olympic guide service and youth program.

Yosemite and Olympic National Parks, our two flagship locations, are some of our awesome workplaces and where our staff goes for fun on their days off. The nearby recreation opportunities are endless and our community living spaces foster friendships and partnerships for outdoor objectives

The season begins with our in-house staff training and backpacking trip, where you will build relationships with your coworkers and learn about our program, the park you work in, and any related skills. After weekly Summer Camp trips return on Fridays, we have a staff bar-b-que, which is provided by the company. We also have several activities and events planned for the summer, including a Halloween party, and mountainous staff adventure!
