The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 1967 by Miss Bessie Heard. A prominent member of Collin County at the time, Miss Bessie wanted to create a place where she could share her love of nature with others. To this day, it is the Heard Museum's mission to bring people and nature together by teaching visitors the importance of wildlife and conservation.
The Heard Museum provides the perfect setting for employees to learn about nature and wildlife while teaching the people around them. With nature trails, animatronic dinosaurs, and plenty of interesting animals, there is never a dull day!
