About Green River Outreach for Wilderness (Camp GROW)

The Green River Outreach for Wilderness (GROW) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in the spring of 2009 by a group of like-minded people sharing a passion for wilderness and a compelling desire to introduce others to wild places. GROW’s primary focus is to offer children the opportunity to discover nature, through fun activities so, they might wonder at the endless bounty and balance surrounding them. Through this connection to nature kids will gain self-confidence and make better decisions throughout their lives.

GROW operates from its base on the Mountain Springs Ranch; a pristine 857 acre property in the foothills of the Wind River Range just outside of Boulder, Wyoming. The ranch adjoins federal lands which lead into the heart of the Bridger Wilderness, in the Bridger Teton National Forest.

GROW’s single gender, residential summer camp program is the heart of the GROW Foundation. From one to four weeks, campers will experience adventure, generate lifelong friendships and the ability to take healthy risks while trying new things in a safe and nurturing environment. Please remember with a maximum enrollment of 18 campers per session, enrollment is extremely limited; please register early for longer sessions. This limited enrollment ensures your child will get the individual attention that is the hallmark of Green River Outreach for Wilderness.

Summer Camp is divided into gender specific boys and girls sessions, for ages 8 to 15. The Girls session is first, and runs from June 13th to July 10th, and the Boys session runs from July 18th to Aug 14th. By segregating the genders into separate camps, we can create enjoyable and challenging programs tailored to the specific genders.

Camp Activities include:
Archery, Backpacking, Blacksmithing, Camping, Canoeing, Climbing, Horse Back Riding, Hiking, Fly Fishing, Rafting, Swimming, Arts and Crafts, Woodshop, and Ecology.
