Glacier Raft Company is the longest operating Rafting and Fly Fishing company in Montana located just outside Glacier National Park in West Glacier Montana. Summers are a blast on the Middle and North Forks of the Flathead. Gin clear water and a wild and scenic designations make this "office" pretty unique.
We're located about a half mile from the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. If you're into wilderness areas, The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex is a short hike from West Glacier.
Glacier Raft Company has been running since 1976 with the rafting and fishing outfit located a half-mile from the west entrance of Glacier National Park in the bustling seasonal community of West Glacier.
We're a rafting and fishing operation at the core, but we have a few things up our sleeve.
Glacier Outdoor Center is our outdoor retail location and Fly Shop. We operate on 60 acres over overlooking GNP. We have cabin rentals, a lodge, wedding venue, and stocked trout ponds on property.
We value hard working, fun loving individuals that want to share their enthusiasm for the area with our guests. Working and living in Glacier Country is a blast! The company, the seasonal community, and the geography of the area make for quite the summer experience. We're a company that takes pride in referring to our coworkers as family.
All positions require a positive attitude, an excellent work ethic, an outgoing personality, and the physical stamina to work long hours. We are looking for staff members who get along well with others and who are looking for a rewarding summer work experience.
Housing is available on property. Housing is seniority based and ranges from private rooms, shared rooms, or dorm-style units. We have some of the best housing facilities in the area. We offer great seasonal housing rates. Rates are based on your housing assignment and range from $150-$200 a month. Each housing assignment has access to electricity, water, bathrooms, kitchens, and washer and dryer.
We do not allow tent camping.
Living on property up here is a shared living experience.
At Glacier Raft Company we've got some great employee perks
Glacier Raft Company is a 35 minute drive from from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell, MT. Transportation from the airport is sometimes difficult in the summer months. Uber, Lyft, or Taxi service are not very prevalent in this area quite yet. If you are flying in without transportation, we can arrange to pick you up. Walking and biking are easy methods of transportation in the area, but to unlock the full potential Glacier National Park a vehicle is suggested. Grocery stores are located in Hungry Horse and Columbia Falls, 15 or 20 minutes drive from West Glacier. All employee housing is on property and the need for a vehicle to get to work isn't necessary if you're living in company housing.
Our employees are not sitting around on their days off. Rafting, Fishing, Hiking, Bagging Peaks, Biking, Scenic Drives, Music, Volleyball, and just plain chllin on a variety of lakes or rivers in the area are what our employees do on their days off. There is a life time of exploration that one could peruse in our area.
We have worked and lived in some of the best places on earth. The experiences that come with seasonal and full time work in adventurous settings are life changing to say the least.
