Base Pay: $150 per day + percentage of tour fees and + tips.
About the Role:
Join our team as a Contracted Hiking Guide leading adventurous backpacking tours into the stunning Guadalupe Mountains National Park with the new Campfire Adventure Ranch near Dell City Texas. As an independent contractor, you’ll have the freedom to set your own schedule while sharing your passion for hiking and the outdoors with visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy guiding and educating others in one of Texas’s most beautiful landscapes.
Responsibilities:
– Lead guided hiking tours within Guadalupe Mountains National Park
– Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants
– Share knowledge of local flora, fauna, geology, and park history
– Provide exceptional customer service to enhance visitor experience
– Follow all park regulations and safety protocols
Requirements:
– Proven experience in guiding or outdoor leadership
– Knowledge of Guadalupe Mountains National Park or similar terrain
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule
– Valid outdoor first aid certification (preferred, but not required) (We can train)
– Passion for outdoor adventure and environmental education
