The West Virginia University Reed College of Media seeks an experienced and innovative content creator in adventure sports or outdoor recreation to teach courses in the college’s unique Sports and Adventure Media major starting in August 2022.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in adventure media content creation and should have a history of and commitment to mentoring people from diverse backgrounds. In addition, this person will help identify professional opportunities for experiential student learning and collaborate with other university units to help promote the state’s world-class outdoor recreation to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications
A master’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications or a related field and professional experience in adventure sports media is desired; however, candidates with a bachelor’s degree and significant adventure media experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.

The Reed College of Media at West Virginia University is located in Morgantown, WV, about 70 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA, and a three-hour drive from Washington, D.C.
