Outdoor Education Fellow: Work in conjunction with the Outdoor Education Instructional Specialist and other members of the outdoor education and student services team to co-instruct wilderness trips; develop and facilitate on- and off-campus adventure-based programming; and create and enhance outdoor education curriculum, student mentorship, and best practices in wilderness trip management and instruction.
The Public Allies Eagle Rock Fellowship selects promising young educators to participate in an advanced year of service and leadership development focused on education and youth work. Located at the nationally recognized Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center in Estes Park, Colorado, Public Allies Eagle Rock is an opportunity for young leaders who are passionate about working with 15-21-year-old students from diverse backgrounds who having voice and agency in their education is the pathway to success. We also support schools nationally to implement effective and engaging practices to serve all students equitably. Eagle Rock is proud to be an antiracist, social justice organization.
Fellows serve as advisors to a small cohort of students, providing academic and personal support, and are part of a community where we all share our passions and skills. There are infinite opportunities to use your talents and experience to contribute to students’ experience at Eagle Rock and impact students’ experiences in schools.
The Outdoor Educator position for our next cohort of fellows — which runs from Sept. 2021 through July. 2022 — is a paid opportunity.
