Camp Denali and North Face Lodge
Assistant Facilities Manager needed for a summer seasonal position at a remote lodge in Denali National Park, Camp Denali and North Face Lodge.
Join our community of 50 staff members, living and working one mile from Wonder Lake, in view of the tallest mountain in North America from early May through late September, 2019. Being a six hour drive from the nearest restaurants, stores, and bars, and an eight hour drive from the nearest mechanic, machine shop, or department store means we rely heavily on this team of skilled workers to care for our property and keep our operations running smoothly.
This skilled and physically demanding position assists the Facilities Manager in maintaining our property. Daily chores include maintenance of grounds, trails, buildings, vehicles, water and electrical systems, and more. Two or more years of experience in building trades, plumbing, mechanical or other operations-related work is required. Individual will be responsible for supervising a crew of 2-5 staff, and attending to all facilities maintenance needs two days each week, when the Facilities Manager is on days off. Full summer season and two summer commitment required.
All of our staff are expected to do a little bit of everything. This job will include washing buses, loading and unloading guest luggage, greeting guests and showing them to their cabin, washing dishes, and more. As a community, we work together to fill all of the needs in this tight-knit, remote community.
