Job Overview

An Adventure Program Assistant is integral to program operations by filling the role of a guide/instructor.

Guides will work with adventure activity programming – coordinating and leading seasonal activities such as rock climbing, hikes, nature crafts, snowboarding, skiing, etc. Every new guide will be developed to lead age-specific activities unique to NORTHSTAR for both native and non-native English speakers. A guide will plan and prepare holistic programs, facilitate activities, and enhance aspects of these activities & programs based upon feedback from the team and participants.

Every guide will also be involved in supporting NORTHSTAR’s general operations by helping with hospitality-related tasks such as routine cleaning and housekeeping, indoor and outdoor maintenance, meal service, and taking part in local community work.

Applicants must hold the equivalent of a four-year college degree or higher. They should have some background in adventure sports, wilderness / outdoor leadership,  or experiential education.
