Are you a resourceful problem solver, mechanically inclined with the aptitude and ability to live and work in a remote Alaskan setting? Are you passionate about the outdoors and appreciative of natural resources?
Our remote salmon hatcheries require maintenance personnel trained and experienced in a variety of trades. Knowledge of standard tools and practices of the trades, computer operations for data entry and reports, occupational hazards and safety precautions are necessary skills and work independently within a team environment with supervision.
Duties involve broad areas of preventative and routine maintenance to hatchery buildings, systems, and equipment, plus residential housing units and systems. Heavy equipment operation and preventative maintenance are included.
The benefits package includes company-provided housing and utilities, medical and life insurance, relocation and travel assistance, generous annual leave accrual.
Outdoor recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking are additional benefits of living at the remote hatchery site.
