Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for applicants who are hard working, self-motivated, flexible, ecology-minded, and team-oriented. Employees who best fit this job recognizes that they are coming here foremost to work, and then for their own personal enjoyment. Some of the work activities are interesting and offer learning opportunities, while others are less glamorous but equally important. We expect much from our employees, and in return treat them well and desire that they leave having had an optimal summer experience.

Sleep and Eat

We provide quality housing for our seasonal employees. These buildings are at or near ranch headquarters, fully furnished and have some private and some shared bedrooms, shared bathrooms, large living area, full kitchen/dining area and laundry facilities. We do not have ranch wide employee dining facilities and employees are responsible for purchasing and preparing their own food. We offer a competitive salary and provide the opportunity to work and play in one of the most spectacular settings in the Northern Rockies.

Getting Here and Around

Because of our relatively remote location, we encourage employees to have their own vehicles. If this is not possible, however, we can arrange transport from the Bozeman, MT airport.

For Fun

Outdoor recreational opportunities abound on the ranch and the surrounding wildlands of Greater Yellowstone. The country begs to be explored by avid hikers. The fabled Yellowstone River (at the turnoff to the ranch) is a mecca for flyfishing. And Yellowstone Park with its myriad of wonders is just 40 minutes away. If you enjoy the outdoors, the mountains, and the likelihood of seeing everything from grizzly bears to wolves to moose to elk herds that number in the hundreds all from your front and backyard, B Bar should be on the top of your list when deciding where to work this summer.
