Liquid Adventures
Job Overview

Liquid Adventures is looking for lead kayak and SUP guides to fill open positions for the summer of 2019.  We are also looking for assistant kayaking guides with less experience who would like to break into the profession.

We are a small, locally owned kayak and paddleboard company located in beautiful Seward, Alaska.  Our waters of exploration are Resurrection Bay and the glaciated bays of Kenai Fjords National Park.  We operate both day and multi-day trips for kayaking, as well as day sup trips to amazing locations such as Bear Glacier Lagoon.  All of our trips are small group sizes and focus on facilitating an amazing experience for our clients that is both safe and adventurous.

For 15 years Liquid Adventures has provided clients with the best guides, the best gear, the best food and the best experience of any provider in Alaska.  Our main objective is to make our clients feel they have chosen the best guides to explore the fjordlands.  To do that we only hire guides who exemplify that professional and humbled persona of giving themselves to their clients, to be the facilitators of an amazing experience.

The guides who work for Liquid Adventures are professionals with kayaking experience.  We offer excellent training by seasoned, accredited professionals. Our training starts in early May in Seward, and lasts two weeks while we make sure guides are completely comfortable with our trips.  New guides will then shadow and assistant guide until we feel they are competent to lead trips.  Guides are responsible for setting up trips either the night before or morning of, and cleaning boats and equipment after a trip ends.  It’s a team effort at Liquid and we all help out where needed.

Day trips can last from 3 hours in the Bay to an 8 hour day encompassing a whale watching water taxi to our drop off, followed by a paddle to tide water glaciers.  SUP trips range from training classes in Bear Lake, yoga sup trips and more advanced dry suit paddling amongst massive icebergs.  Our mulit-day kayak camping trips are typically between 1 – 4 night outings, all within the Kenai Fjords National Park.

The season runs until September 8th with clients, a couple days of clean up and winterizing, then a super random guide trip adventure that you won’t know the destination until the day of.  We offer a very competitive wage which is based on per trip pay as well as per hour wages for certain duties.

Apply by emailing a work resume, outdoor resume and cover letter to [email protected].  We will be taking resumes through December.  Also feel free to check us out at

We are a close knit group of kayakers, paddle boarders, climbers and skiers; some live year round in Seward and others just for the season.  Come work and play with us in our stunning backyard…
