Job Overview

The International Wilderness Leadership School (IWLS) and Alaska Mountain Guides & Climbing School Inc. (AMGCSI) are looking for mountaineering and ice climbing guides for the 2020 summer season in Southeast Alaska.

The season will begin in May and concludes in mid-August. However, variable timeframes are possible (minimum of 2 months).

Applicant should possess at least three years of experience leading mountaineering programs and have a valid WFR, WEMT, or equivalent medical certification.

Trips range from 3-20 day mountaineering trips, backpacking, ice climbing and rock climbing. These trips are based in the mountains surrounding Haines and Skagway, Alaska.

Pay rate is $110 – $160/day depending on experience.
