About the position:

FARRMS provides education and financial support to those starting sustainable farm, ranch, and food businesses in North Dakota and the Red River Valley.

The New Farmer Task Force is a grant-funded coalition of community organizations that seeks to identify and create opportunities for new farmers, especially those from under served populations in the Red River Valley. This position will organize outreach, facilitate communications with and between partners, and organize meetings of the task force and other community partners sharing the group’s goals or mission.​

New Farmer Task Force Project Manager reports to the FARRMS Executive Director and the New Farmer Task Force Steering Committee. This is a part-time contract position offered by FARRMS and funded through a USDA NIFA Beginning Farmer Rancher Development Program grant which runs through August 15, 2019.

Time commitment is 25-60 hrs per month. A monthly stipend will be provided based on background and experience (range $1,000 – $1,500 per month).
